Cha$e

OK. I am watching this TV show called Cha$e on the Sci-fi channel. I have to say, I like it. It is fuckin' exciting. I dig the Secret Service like dudes, but dress those bitches like Zombies and that would be cooler.

I need a soma.

|=u(ki|\|g Zombies

Last year I was involved in a zombie attack at my work. Nothing serious. Currently, I am the closest thing to a zombie that I know of. I have the bones of the dead within me and they are reanimating (aka "grafting") as I write this. These bones are fortified by steel plates. So, this makes me a zombie robot. Well, people like to call me that. The hilarious thing is that I developed a character last year (developed as in drew) that was a zombie robot. I had no idea that one year later my fate would have such a coincidental twist. It's a coincidence and not irony, by the way. I have nothing against zombies or robots, much less robotic zombies.

When did my love of zombies begin? Very recently...up until two years ago, the thought of zombies freaked me out. A friend of mine had just published a book called Brainchild. He thought I would be interested in seeing it. I was not and I told him so. But, I bought it anyway (since it would be cool to own a book by a friend). Got it, read it, and had nightmares about it that night. But, I was hooked.

There was something about zombies that suddenly appealed to me. I then branched off to books released by the Permuted Press, Rebecca Brock stories, and Max Brooks books. I stared getting into Romero movies, Resident Evil movies, and all the others. I have even written some zombie stuff of my own.

It is very early in the planning, but there may be another zombie anthology by my friend. I am helping him out with this project. Although, based on our work schedules and my additional 2009 art schedule, I think it may 2010 before it happens.

About the picture: Undead vs Undead 2007. My friend Jared is a zombie. I am a vampire...well, sorceress vampire. Whatever. (I have lost 50 pounds since that picture was taken.)

Ronald McDonald Turns Zombie

Sad news from McDonaldland today. It seems that Ronald McDonald finally turned zombie and discovered his cannibalistic lust for flesh.

This happened shortly after Grimace's body was discovered following an apparent suicide from a healthy dose of poison. Rumor has it that Grimace's suicide was motivated by the clown's constant badgering about his intellect and checkered past. Another rumored reason, but unsubstantiated at the moment, is the fact that Grimace led a secret life of cross-dressing and had astronomical credit card bills from shoe purchases.

"Things That Chicks Dig"

I'm thinking about creating a blog called "Things That Chicks Dig". I have not completely sketched out the details, but it'll be a social commentary on how chicks are viewed by and view culture in the US. No one will be safe from the sarcasm.

On second thought, I am not sure if I have the energy to do it.

But, if I do, I think that the first entry will be about Cougarism. Yes, I just made up that word to talk about a chick's phase in life as a Cougar. Not all chicks are truly Cougars, but all chicks fancy themselves as Cougars, or they have a goal to be a Cougar, at some point in their life. I am not sure what the true age or qualifications of Cougarism are. I would have to guess that Cougars are over 35. I think the max age depends on the Cougar. Cougars need to be extremely self aware. There is nothing more unattractive as an active Cougar past her prime. You may be remembered as a Cougar once you have been classified as one, though. You know, "Wow, she use to be quite a Cougar!"

The men they date, or "hunt", are definitely younger...probably over 5 years younger. Again, I am not sure. I know the local Cougar hang out is Smith and Wolensky at Easton. I have heard it is classified as a Cougar bar, at least by one professional hockey player who frequents it to be hunted by cougars. Cougars can be mothers, or not. They can be married or single. They can be active or inactive. You know, I am just making up the rules according to how I see them at this point. I'll make up more rules as I see necessary for the moment.

Go Cougars.

UPDATE: Yeah, I created it... Things That Chicks Dig

10tv Investigates...ROFL

Okay, I tried to find the link to the newscast, but could not, so you will just have to take my word for it. Evidently, if you were spanked a lot as a child, you are prone to promiscuous, unprotected sex and a strong desire for sadism-masochistic sexual behavior.

Joe and I turned to each other after we heard this and just started cracking up! I mean really. Come on.

Gosh....i could use a spankin' right about now...I'm not sure why.

Introducing...the Flaming Cunts

That's right.

(((Hey, Jared, you should send me the band logo so I can post it here.)))

Now, I have not seen the logo, but I can imagine it is a vagina engulfed in flames. I mean, that is what I would design.

But, my point is, I had the pleasure of being the lead singer of the FC this evening. And wow...I can't sing worth a shit. Lots of mumbling, making up words, and screeching. Beeeeeeautiful.

I had fun dressing my character...she is a goth girl with lotsa black netting and kick ass black buckle boots. I need to get a pair from Steve Madden. She also has a tattoo of a Black Widow on her belly. That suits me.

Rockband is a blast to play, whether you are good or not.

P.S. Thanks for the cookies.

Where Is My Mind?

You know, so many cool things come from Boston...

Dresden Dolls...
Liam Sullivan....
The Pixies.....
The Museum of Bad Art......
Boston Market and their creamy spinach side dish. YUM.
Chipotle...Oh, I just made that up. Plus, I have no idea if Boston Market is really from Boston.

So, my mind is on Christmas now...let the spending begin.

Bought a 88 key keyboard to mix music with Garage Band on the Mac today. Complete impulse buy. I was like, fuck it. I want it. Pain and suffering. Kelly's fucking rad.

So, I am trying to be a nicer person. I felt bad because today I made fun of someone in a completely inappropriate way in front of people who did not laugh at my flip comment. And it was funny...but no one laughed. Oh well!

By the way, Vanity Fair in hand, I am about to read about the Golden Suicides.

Happy Day of the Ninja

Hey,
Ninjas are awesome.

New Commission
Well, I have a new commission. It is actually repeating two of my existing pieces (The Devil's Breath and I Dreamt of a Kiss...) and selling two others (Autumn's Folliage and Infiltration). But, I needed to find 6x6 cradled aquaboard in order to complete the reproductions of my own works. I found a place in Massachusetts that carries it online. Just placed the order, but they did not commit to any ship dates and did not give me a choice to have it rushed. So, I hope to god it makes it here by the 15th.

Spam is awesome! It's like free porno...

"Dear, pmintun. Large muscular rods make women go wild!!"

Awesome! Oh, the entertainment never ends in my spam folder.

Speaking of porno...softcore. I took my new calendar down to my family yesterday...gave one to mom and my sister...Hold on! I know what your thinking. No, my calendar is not full of porn. My point is, one of my images is a very simple abstract nude. Well, my other sister made it a point to repeat over and over again to everyone that I am painting smut. She is a republican, so this sort of behavior is kind of expected, but come on. Silly republican!!!...
Here is the pic...

And the calendar...

The Cure

OK...listening to the Cure for an hour is not a cure for depression. Truly I am only reminded of things that make me sad. I won't go into any gruesome details. I will only make a wish, put it in a box, cast a spell, and hope that things work out like I want. I know...be careful what you wish for.

Hmmmmm....what have I found interesting lately...little kitty kitty.

It's Sunday...Time for Random Things

First off, here is a blog from Bruce Campbell that I found this morning on mySpace. I have asked him to be my "friend". Who in the hell wouldn't? Bruce has a WIKI, as well. Who in the hell doesn't?
Here are two extended Old Spice videos:

IT...
If you have IT, you don't need IT.
If you need IT, you don't have IT.
If you have IT, you need more of IT.
If you have more of IT, you don't need less of IT.
You need IT to get IT.
And you certainly need IT to get more of IT.
But if you don't already have any of IT to begin with,
you can't get any of IT to get started,
which means you really have no idea how to get IT in the first place, do you?
You can share IT, sure.
You can even stockpile IT if you'd like.
But you can't fake IT.
Wanting IT.
Needing IT.
Wishing for IT.
The point is if you've never had any of IT, ever,
People just seem to know.

Interview...

I seem to be catching up with old friends this week. I just met up with Carmen yesterday...Monday is Julie and Isolde...Thursday is Samantha...and then Saturday is Jenn. Here's to old friends...Cheers!

I just finished writing a story to go with Senecal's Old One!. I think it turned out kind of cool. It needs to be linked up to the picture, then I will share it. Today I need to work on art. Seems that creative writing drains my energy, while art energizes me. It's the yin and yang of my creative cycle.

OK, I am off to watch a movie, or fold laundry, or paint a picture, or whatever Sunday brings.
